As a wedding content creator, I’ve discovered that capturing the perfect moment isn’t just about being in the right place at the right time – it’s also just as important to have the right tools and accessories at your disposal. To ensure that no special moment goes unnoticed on wedding day, I’ve curated a list of the essential tools and accessories that have helped me capture top-notch wedding content. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to upgrade your wedding content creator toolkit, this list will be your go-to guide so you can go above and beyond to capture and deliver the magic of your couple’s wedding day!
1. The Latest iPhone – iPhone 14 or 15 Pro
As a wedding content creator, having the best technology to document your couple’s love story is essential. The newest iPhone 16 Pro has a triple camera system which produces super high-resolution photos and videos with up to 10x optical zoom range. This feature is so helpful especially for those ceremony and reception shots where you can’t be as up close to capture your couple. Not to mention the battery and video playback time on this iPhone is up to 29 hours, so you don’t have to constantly recharge your phone during wedding day. I also have the iPhone 15 Pro and the camera still captures incredible high quality videos and photos, I just recommend you have the version that has the triple camera system vs. the dual.
2. NEEWER Selfie Light aka THE Alix Earle Selfie Light
Lighting plays a pivotal role in creating captivating high-quality wedding content. The NEEWER Selfie Light, aka the infamous Alix Earle Selfie Light, is my secret weapon for capturing crisp content especially if there’s limited natural light at the wedding venue or aggressive up lighting that’s causing crazy shadows in your videos and photos. I’ve definitely been in situations before where the dinner reception was in a dark indoor space and this light added the most perfect and subtle glow to all of my content. Not to mention, it makes your couple and guests look so good!
3. Anker PowerCore Ultra-Portable Phone Charger
The last thing you want to do is miss any of your couple’s once in a lifetime moments from their wedding day due to a drained phone battery. With the Anker PowerCore Ultra-Portable Phone Charger, I’m able to charge on the go and guarantee uninterrupted coverage. This is one of the speediest portable chargers I’ve ever used and it really does deliver the fastest possible charge for any device!
4. DJI Osmo Mobile SE Intelligent Gimbal
For cinematic perfection, the DJI Osmo Mobile SE Intelligent Gimbal is my tool of choice. It transforms shaky scenes into smooth, cinematic moments. I love to use this gimbal for those high pace ceremony or first dance moments. Using this gimbal delivers beautiful and breathtaking videos every time.
5. Cleaning Cloths for Your iPhone Lens
A cleaning cloth for my iPhone lens is probably my most used and underrated tool that I have in my kit. Something as simple as a speck of dust or a greasy finger print can totally ruin a shot so it’s so important to have a smudge-free and pristine iPhone lens at all times!
6. Dagne Dover Micah Crossbody Bag
Organization is key to a seamless wedding day. I absolutely love this Dagne Dover Micah Crossbody Bag because it’s not only cute and stylish but it also keeps all of my tools (and snacks) organized, ensuring I’m always ready to capture those spontaneous wedding day moments. It’s a lightweight crossbody that’s so perfect for keeping all my tools within reach and there’s multiple interior and exterior pockets – even one specifically on the exterior for your phone with an easy magnetic closure so it’s always within easy reach.
7. Clare V Grande Fanny in Black Woven
If you’re looking for something a bit more elevated but not as functional as the Dagne Dover Crossbody this Clare V Grande Fanny in Black Woven is definitely one of my favorites for wedding day. It allows me to keep my essentials close and I always get so many compliments on it from other wedding vendors and guests.
8. Bandolier Hailey Crossbody Phone Case and Wallet
This crossbody phone case and wallet has been such a game changer for me on wedding days! It’s crafted with genuine leather and finished with gold tone details and again helps me stay organized, which is key for these long, hectic days! Any accessory that provides easy access to my phone is always such a plus for me. When I first started I found myself putting my phone in and out of my purses and this allows me to know where my phone is at all times without worrying about it.
9. Mini Mic for Guest Interviews – Professional Lavalier Mic for iPhone
This mini mic if perfect if you plan on interviewing wedding guests throughout the day. It’s so fun to do rapid fire questions with your couple’s guests and ask them questions like, “What was your favorite part of the ceremony?” “Who do you think is the best dressed guest at the wedding?” “What has been your favorite memory with the couple?” This mic makes them feel like they’re being interviewed on the red carpet and the sound quality is top-notch.
